Pre-natal classes
Panmilar’s pre-natal classes are held in groups and are multilingual. They are aimed at future parents living in the canton of Vaud who do not speak French. Topics covered include:
- pregnancy and childbirth
- bottle/breastfeeding and caring for your baby
- parenthood and the local healthcare network
Our classes are run by midwives and translated by community interpreters. They take place in Lausanne, Yverdon, Payerne, Aigle, Vevey, Clarens, Renens and Nyon.
The cost is covered by your basic health insurance (LAMal) and by the Canton of Vaud. Families who wish to contribute can do so by making a donation to the association.

Home visits after the birth
In addition to its pre-natal classes, Panmilar also offers home visits after birth for parents whose first language is not French. These are carried out by an independent midwife and translated by a community interpreter.
These home visits enable families to receive personalised support, in their own language, so that they can care for their baby in the best possible way. The cost is covered by your basic health insurance (LAMal) and by the Canton of Vaud.
